About Stephens House and Gardens
Stephens House is a hidden gem in the heart of Finchley, North London, with excellent transport links to the rest of the city and beyond. This unique historic house stands in stunning landscaped gardens it was acquired in 1874 by ‘Ink Magnate’ Henry Charles Stephens who later enlarged and improved the house and grounds with advice from well-known landscape gardener Robert Marnock. On his death in 1918 Stephens bequeathed the estate to ‘the people of Finchley’.
Stephens House is a licensed venue for ceremonies and with a range of rooms to choose from it can cater for any kind of event, from intimate fine dining to a lavish buffet reception.
The elegant Dining Room has a truly Victorian feel and can host up to 30 guests.
The Drawing Room is the grandest room in the house and suitable for larger ceremonies or receptions with a maximum of 80 people.
The Salon’s beautiful bay windows provide stunning views over the gardens and give the room a bright and airy feel. It can be booked on its own for 35 people or with the Drawing Room to accommodate 110 guests in total.
As well as providing an in-house catering service, we can accommodate external caterers including kosher catering providers by arrangement.
